A little space for Scripture
Read, study, and remember Scripture.
One quiet place to grow in
faith.
Made for iPhone & iPad
But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.
The reason behind Written.
Open the Word. Go a little deeper.
From the first verse of your morning to the passage
you carry
all day. Take a look inside Written.
A quiet reader, with the tools for a deeper study close at hand. Highlight what stands out. Follow a cross-reference. Listen as you read.
Choose a guided study for the book, question, or season on your heart. Or build a personal plan around the passages you want to spend time with.
Scripture opens up when you see how its passages belong together. Study chains connect verses around a theme and give you a way to follow the thread.

No ads. No third-party tracking. No selling your data.
Last updated August 28, 2026Written is designed as a personal Bible reading and study app. The app does not sell your data, show third-party ads, or use third-party tracking.
Notes, highlights, bookmarks, prayers, praises, gratitude entries, selected photos, memorization verses, reading progress, settings, and widget preferences are used only to provide app features. This content is kept on your device and, when available, in a private sync copy in your own Apple iCloud account.
Photos you choose for gratitude or praise entries are stored for display in the app, its widgets, and optional private iCloud sync. Written does not scan or upload your photo library. If you explicitly attach a cover while submitting a custom plan for editorial review, the app compresses only that selected image and uploads it with a short-lived, one-file authorization to a private Written Supabase Storage bucket. Any reminders you enable use local iOS notifications.
Bible text, original-language word data, and study content
are bundled or stored locally. Requested Bible audio is
served through audio.writtenbible.com (or
audio.centivize.cc in earlier app versions);
optional commentary may be requested from
bible.helloao.org. Those services may receive
standard request details such as IP address and basic HTTP
metadata. Written does not use those requests for
advertising tracking. If you choose to send feedback in the
app or through the support form, the category, message,
basic app/device diagnostics, and any contact details you
enter are processed by Written's Vercel-hosted endpoint and
delivered to Written support through Resend. If you submit a
custom plan, its content, attribution details, and optional
cover are sent for editorial review. Optional covers remain
private in Supabase Storage and are shared with support
through a time-limited review link. These providers may
process ordinary request and delivery metadata such as IP
addresses.
When iCloud is available, Written can keep a private copy of your study data and selected journal photos in your Apple CloudKit database so your devices stay in sync. It is not a developer-operated account or database.
The Written app includes no third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or developer-operated crash reporting. Apple may share diagnostics if you opt in through iOS. This website uses Vercel Web Analytics to measure aggregate traffic such as page views and referrers without third-party cookies. Written is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children.
You can remove content using in-app deletion controls. Synced deletions are reflected in private iCloud data when available. Apple account settings control iCloud storage and backups. Identifiable support messages and plan submissions can be deleted on request by contacting Written with the response email and approximate submission date. Provider logs and backups may remain under their retention practices. This policy may change as Written changes; the updated date above will always reflect the latest version.
